Aam ka paniwala Achaar
Ingredients
- Quantity: 2.5 kgs. (Appx.)
- 2 kgs. mangoes
- 40 gms. haldi powder
- 100 gms. salt
- 100 gms. mustard (rai)
- 40 gms. chilli coarsely ground
- 100 gms. Oil
Method
Soak mangoes in water for 10-12 hours. Wipe them clean with a cloth and dry. Chop them with a sarauta in 4 segments each. If you do not want to use the stones, discard them.
Pour water in a martban to the level it’s above an inch from the mango pieces.
Add all the masalas and mix them thoroughly with water.
Add the mango segments and pour oil. Cover and keep the martban under the Sun.
Consume after 10-12 days.
This achaar cannot be preserved for long.
Always use a spoon to bring out achaar pieces from the martban.
