Aam ka Sookha Achaar

Ingredients
  • Quantity: 2.5 kgs. (Appx.)
  • 100 gms. salt
  • 100 gms. Oil
  • 2 kgs. Mangoes
  • 50 gms. chilli (mirch) coarsely ground
  • 40 gms. black mustard seeds (sarson ke dane)
  • 40 gms. turmeric (haldi) powder

Method

Wash mangoes and wipe them. Peel and chop the pulp into pieces.

Put the pieces in a martban. Add salt and haldi and keep it in the sun.

Take out the pieces from the martban after three days. Spread them on a butter paper (momjama) and dry it lightly.
Pour oil in the martban. Add haldi and salt. Add other spices also. Mix well together and you can use it now. This achaar can be preserved for long time.
