Aam ki Meethi Chutney

 

Ingredients

Quantity: 8 cups (Appx.)

  • 5 cups pulp of unripe mangoes
  • 3 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp. chilli powder
  • 1 cup vinegar (sirka)
  • 4 cups sugar

Method

Put mango pulp, sugar and salt in a sauce pan. Cover and keep aside for an hour.

Put the sauce pan on low heat.

When sugar is dissolved, add garam masala and mirch in the pan tied in a piece of clean cloth or in a muslin cloth.

When the masala pulp is dissolved and starts thickening, remove the packet. Add sirka.

Cook on low heat, stirring all the time.

When the chutney thickens, turn the heat off and serve
