Aloo Ka Achaar

ingredients

  • Quantity: 750 gms. (Appx.)
  • 500 gms. small potatoes
  • 125gms. black mustard oil
  • 20 gms. red chilli powder (lal mirch)
  • 25 gms. mustard (rai) ground
  • 1.5 tsp. salt
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 0.25 tsp. turmeric (haldi) powder

Method

Boil potatoes, peel and keep aside.

Heat one tbsp. oil in a pan. Fry onion till brownish. Add rai, mirch powder, haldi and salt. Switch off the heat.

Mix the spices with the boiled potatoes. Stir gently and fill it in a jar.

Add the remaining oil and keep the jar under the Sun. Use after 3-4 days.
