Amaltas Ki Chutney

 

Ingredients

Quantity: 3 cups (Appx.)

  • 250 gms. amaltas
  • 20 gms. cumin seeds (jeera) ground
  • 20 gms. black pepper (kali mirch) ground
  • 20 gms. salt
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • A pinch of asafoetida (heeng)
  • 1 tsp. mustard (rai) ground
  • 1 tsp. fenugreek seeds (methidana) ground
  • 1 tsp. garam masala powder
  • 1 tbsp. vinegar (sirka)
  • 1 tbsp. sugar

Method

Grind amaltas finely and mix it with lemon juice. Sieve and keep the pulp aside.

Put the sieved ingredients in a porcelain bowl and beat well with the help of a spoon.

Add all the masalas, salt and sugar. Mix well together. Fill in a jar and keep aside.

Start consuming after two weeks.
