Amaltas Ki Chutney
Ingredients
Quantity: 3 cups (Appx.)
- 250 gms. amaltas
- 20 gms. cumin seeds (jeera) ground
- 20 gms. black pepper (kali mirch) ground
- 20 gms. salt
- 1 cup lemon juice
- A pinch of asafoetida (heeng)
- 1 tsp. mustard (rai) ground
- 1 tsp. fenugreek seeds (methidana) ground
- 1 tsp. garam masala powder
- 1 tbsp. vinegar (sirka)
- 1 tbsp. sugar
Method
Grind amaltas finely and mix it with lemon juice. Sieve and keep the pulp aside.
Put the sieved ingredients in a porcelain bowl and beat well with the help of a spoon.
Add all the masalas, salt and sugar. Mix well together. Fill in a jar and keep aside.
Start consuming after two weeks.
