BINDI ON FOREHEAD AND MAKE-UP IN DAY AND NIGHT
The beauty of the forehead enhances with the use of bindi. It is the sign of a married Indian woman. You can’t explain the beauty of a red bindi; all others will be secondary to it.
You can buy bindi in all colours. Red is the best colour, blossoming on wheatish, dark, fair, and all complexions.
It is available in dry powder, creamy and lotion forms.
Young girls should adore a bindi only on special occasions since they look older with its use. Don’t choose bindi and lipstick in dark shades; one must be light to match your face.
NEW DESIGNS OF BINDIS
Put a bindi according to the shape of your face. A big one on a broad forehead and a small one on a narrow one will not look bad.
Bindi does not match Western dresses like bell bottoms, pants etc. So, please don’t use one with them.
Kumkum in many colours is in use in South India. Apply Vaseline before applying kumkum; otherwise, it will not stick over there. Apply Vaseline or lipstick on the forehead before putting a vermillion bindi (Sindur) so it does not spread. Black bindi is in fashion in South India and Maharashtra.
MAKE-UP IN DAY TIME
Your hard work and money will go waste if you don’t know the art of make-up. People might not appreciate and make fun of you. At that time, you might have looked better without makeup.
So consider first that you are going out in the sun on a foggy or illuminated night.
When you have to go to attend a party in the daytime:
• Don’t use foundation
• Use light shades of lipstick, mascara and eye-shadow
• Don’t use eyeliner
• Put blusher on the chin, cheeks and nose with light pats so the face glows pinkish.
MAKE-UP FOR EVENING OR NIGHT
Keep the make-up dark in comparison to the day. Its splendour will be doubled in the lights. You will look beautiful and charming if you make up using the methods described above.
