Hari Mirch Ka Achaar
Ingredients
- Quantity: 1 kgs. (Appx.)
- 500 gms. green chillies (hari mirch)
- 15 tbsp. lemon juice
- 3.5 tbsp. mustard (rai) ground
- 1tsp. asafoetida (heeng)
- 1tsp. fenugreek seeds (methedana)
- 1tsp. haldi powder
- 1.5 tbsp. salt
- 1.25 cup oil
Method
Wash chillies, wipe with a clean cloth and spread them on a piece of cloth for sometime.
Slit the chillies.
Heat oil till it boils. Keep aside to cool down.
Coarsely grind rai and heeng. Add haldi and salt. Mix oil with it and blend all together.
Stuff this oil mixed masala in the mirchies. Put these mirchies in a martban. If there is any masala left put that too in the martban.
Add nimboo juice. Shake the martban
well. Tie its mouth with a piece of cloth. Keep it under the Sun. If this cannot be done, then store it in the room.
Shake the pickle container daily a few times.
Use this achaar after a week.
