Kachiri Ka Achaar
Ingredients
Quantity: 1.5 kgs. (Appx.)
- 750gms. kachri
- 75gms. mustard (rai)
- 70gms. salt
- 30gms. red chilli ground
- 20gms. turmeric (haldi) powder
- 2cups black mustard (sarson) oil
- 20gms. fenugreek seeds (methidana)
- 10gms. nigella (kalaunji)
- 10gms. cumin seeds (jeera)
Method
Wash kachris with clean water, wipe and slit them in the middle.
Coarsely grind rai and methidana and mix with other masalas.
Heat oil to the maximum and then allow it to cool.
Mix a little oil with the masalas and make a thick paste. Fill this paste in kachris.
Put the stuffed kachries in a martban. Add more oil. Cover and keep the martban under the Sun.
Start consuming after a week.
