Karele Ki Chutney
Ingredients
Quantity: 250 gms. (Appx.)
- 200 gms. fresh bitter gourds (karele)
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. chilli
- 1 tsp. amchoor (dry mango powder)
- 1 tsp. cumin seeds (jeera) ground
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. garam masala powder
Method
Scrape karelas and slit them in the middle. Rub 1.5 tsp. salt on the karelas and keep them aside for 4-5 hours.
Thereafter, wash the karelas under running water to remove salt.
Grind the cleaned karelas, remaining salt, mirch, amchoor, jeera and garam masala in a grinder.
Add lemon juice to the chutney and taste it.
