Kele Ki Chutney

 

Ingredients

For 8-10 persons

  • 100 gms. ripe tamarind (imli)
  • 100 gms. currants (kishmish)
  • 30 gms. ginger (adrak) grated
  • 4 tbsp. sugar
  • 1.5 tsp. red chilli ground
  • 0.5 tsp. salt
  • 4-6 ripe bananas chopped in round pieces
  • 2 tsp. cumin seeds (jeera) baked and ground
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice (optional)

Method

Soak tamarind in 2 cups of warm water for half an hour. Extract its juice, sieve and keep aside.

Mix imli juice, sugar, kishmish, lal mirch powder, adrak and salt till sugar is dissolved.

Add banana pieces. Sprinkle jeera powder and lemon juice and serve.
