Khajoor Aur Imli Ki Chutney

 

Ingredients

Quantity: 3 cups (Appx.)

  • 500 gms. dates (khajoor) seedless

and chopped

  • 75 gms. ripe tamarind (imii)
  • 2 cups of boiled water
  • 2 tsp. oil
  • 2 tsp. mustard (rai)
  • 2 tsp. cumin seeds (jeera)
  • 0.75 cup vinegar (sirka)
  • 0.5 tsp. salt

Method

Put imli in the boiling water for 30 minutes or till tender. Extract its juice. Sieve and keep aside.

Heat oil in a pan. Fry rai and jeera. Add imli juice, khajoor, sirka and salt. Mix well together.

Cook on low heat till water dries out. Remove from heat.

When cooled, grind and store in a jar and serve.
