Kishmish Ki Chutney

 

Ingredients

Quantity: 750 gms. (Appx.)

  • 250 gms. currants (kishmish)
  • 300 gms. sugar
  • 150 gms. vinegar (sirka)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 4 cloves garlic (lahsun paste) optional
  • 1 tsp. cumin seeds (jeera) ground
  • 1 tsp. chilli (mirch) ground
  • 1 tsp. garam masala powder
  • 0.5  cup water

Method

Put kishmish, sugar, salt, jeera, adrak, mirch powder, garam masala and water in a sauce pan and bring it to a boil on low heat. Add garlic paste.

When sugar is dissolved and the ingredients thicken, add sirka. Stir while cooking.

When the chutney thickens switch off the heat.

When it cools down, keep it in a refrigerator and serve.
